About the project
Old television schedules, made browsable again.
This is QLMB's public browser for preserved television listings. It is here for the simple reason that television history is much more useful when people can actually explore it.
Where does the data come from?
The underlying schedule listings are sourced from TRILT / Learning on Screen. This is an independent preservation and browsing project and does not claim ownership of their source data. Original TRILT record links are retained where available.
What did QLMB do?
QLMB preserved the captures, parsed the listings into a searchable archive, built the browsing tools and continues to curate and test the public project.
Why preserve schedules?
A listings page can answer surprisingly specific questions: what surrounded a programme, when a channel changed direction, what was repeated overnight, or what somebody could actually have watched on an ordinary day years ago.
How to explore it
Search by title or description, browse a channel through the years, pick a date from the calendar, or hit Random schedule and fall into a day you probably have not thought about since it happened.
Programme metadata is kept as it appeared in the archive. Where the same programme ID appears with meaningfully different title, episode, description or duration information, those versions can remain distinct rather than one silently replacing another.
